The Saint Athanasius and Saint Cyril Theological Library is an institution that promotes and encourages the study of the patristic heritage of the great Alexandrian fathers, and especially Saint Athanasius and Saint Cyril, in response to the theological, pastoral and educational challenges confronting the church today. In summary, it seeks to help the modern Christian regain the mind of the Fathers.

As a service of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles, Southern California, and Hawaii, the Library seeks to

• Collect the writings of the Fathers in ancient and modern languages
• Offer courses and seminars in theology relating to Christian education, pastoral care, family life, and service
• Hold annual conferences relevant to the clergy, youth, servants, and general audiences
• Publish books, pamphlets, journals, and multimedia resources to support the Library’s mission
• Assist in the preparation of clergy and theologians who will serve in the Church
